To ensure that all existing and future business processes, concepts and strategies take into account the impact upon the company as a whole and ensure they are aligned with the technological strategies and roadmaps as produced by the Enterprise Architecture group.

• Act as the primary bridge between the CIO organization and other business units at a business process owner level
• Guide the thinking of business units to ensure their existing and planned processes adhere to, and complement the business strategies as a whole
• Guide the thinking of business units to ensure planned products and services are aligned with those of other business units
• Ensure other business units strategies are aligned with and correspond to the capabilities of current and roadmap technology
• Act as the initial ‘sanity check’ on other business units when changes or system requirements are identified
• Examine business processes across all units to identify deficiencies and commonality
• Design and document consolidated processes for application across business units
• Work with IT Stakeholders to assess systems impacts of any improvements
• Performance metrics management in terms of KPIs impacted by business processes
• Ensure all business units are aware of and understand the decisions, strategies and directions of the EA group in particular and TG in general
• Ensure the EA and the wider TG group are fully aware of the thinking of other business units, and have adequate forewarning to facilitate involvement and interjection as required
• Communicate easily at all levels up to and including Group Executive
• Design and specify the standards for documentation of business processes, RFPs, etc.
• Ensure adherence to these and other standards
• Ensure vendor responses to RFP’s meet the requirements of the business as a whole

• Contracted to BMW Financial Services to architect and implement a multi-tiered solution.
• Developed the BEAM (BMW Electronic Application Management) Wholesale system to be implemented internationally.
• Upgraded the BEAM Wholesale system a year later to Delphi 7 converting to using the DataSnap technology provided in Delphi 7 and convert from Interbase to MSSQL Server 2000.
• Consulting at FNB Home Loans
• Investigating and implementing the best methodological solution to suite their business. Focused on RDD (Requirements Driven Development) revealing the necessity of having all development being requirements driven through the implementation, training and configuring of CaliberRM for requirements management and integrating these into their SCM (Software Configuration Manager) being Starteam. I configured the Starteam implementation, providing best practices, customizations and automations to enhance the development process. I also defined a release management process through the use of Starteam and defined and implemented the workflow process in Starteam.
• Consulting at Discovery Life/World
• Rolled out CaliberRM (Requirements management tool), Starteam (Software Configuration Management Tool) and Together (UML Modelling tool). Defined solutions to best suite their business needs in implementing a build process, implementing their release process. Defined and implemented a workflow and various processes to reduce the time to market reduce the amount of rework performed.
• Provided training on all courses for Delphi, Starteam, CaliberRM and Together Control Centre.
I assisted in the pre-sales process with the sales team.
I set up pilots and proof-of-concepts for clients as part of the sales process.
Performed post-sales installations, implementations and training/mentoring.
Prepared and performed presentations and demonstrations at launches, seminars and sales meetings.
