South African Scientist and Physicist


Born 23-02-1924 in South Africa

Deceased 07-05-1998 (74 years old)

Allan Cormack was a scientist and physicist involved in designing the first CAT-Scan machine. He served as Chairperson of Tufts University. In 1979 he won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work on X-ray computed tomography (CAT) scan technology.
