Antony Sher

Actor, Writer, Theatre Director and Painter


Born 14-06-1949 in Cape Town South Africa

Antony Sher joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1982. His big break came when he played the title role in Shakespeare's Richard III. Since then he played the lead in many big productions. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000 for his services to theatre. He released his autobiography in May 2001.
