Brian Connellan

Brian Patrick Connellan

Former Independent Director of ABSA Group


Born 28-06-1940

Brian Connellan was an Independent Director of ABSA Group. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he joined the Barlows Group in 1964. He was appointed as a Director of Barlow Rand Limited in 1985. Connellan was Executive Chairperson of the building materials, steel and paint division until 1990. He was the Former Executive Chairperson of Nampak Limited, a position he held until retirement in 2010.

Connellan is a qualified Chartered Accountant of South Africa since 1963.
