Candice Michelle’s passion for performing started at the age of 12 when she started attending singing, guitar, piano and dancing lessons. No stranger to the limelight, from a very young age her energetic performances have entertained audiences all over South Africa. She honed her skills at the Waterfront Theatre School, college for Performing Arts, where she has mastered tap, ballet, funk, modern, contemporary, musical theatre as well as drama. She then went on to star in several Mike McCullagh productions including Nashville Nights and Rocking the Rainbow before going on to join the Barnyard Theatre for their production of Sixty Something. Her highlights in the corporate entertainment world include work for KFM94.5, Metro FM, Good Hope FM, Cape Argus Cycle Tour, Liberty Life, MCQP, and the lead entertainer at Uwe Koeter’s Annual Fashion Show. You’ll hear her voice on several television and radio advertisements and her voice was featured in an episode of the popular South African soapie Rhythm City, singing an original song. You would’ve also heard her voice on Fine Music Radio 101.3FM as the English and Afrikaans news reader.
She then went on to join the Barnyard Theatre Company permanently where she featured as lead female vocalist in Dancing Queen, Absolute 80’s, Kids Rock Again, Rocking All Over the World, Nite Fever, Dancing in the Streets and Big Top Rock. After working non-stop in the entertainment world for 5 years and developing her skills as any type of singer, she went on to star in her own production Doll Domination at the Roxy Revue Bar at GrandWest Casino in Cape Town, which was produced by her own production company, Canelle Productions, that she started when she was 19. She continues to produce her own productions and growing her reputation as a producer and director while performing her original work and covers all over Cape Town’s well known entertainment spots. Candice has recently started up a charity foundation, Dream Voice South Africa, to help less fortunate children find their talents through performing.Her energetic nature and passion for performing is her key to success and she is more than eager to embrace the international performing world.
