Nominated for a Grammy for writing the song Father Of Our Nation (a tribute to Nelson Mandela) and performed by Cape Town singer Jennifer Jones and trumpeter Hugh Masekela.; Nominated for an Emmy for the soundtrack of Mandela and De Klerk, a film starring Sidney Poitier as Mandela. Cedric wrote, arranged and produced the soundtrack.; Wrote the signature music for the TV show People of the South hosted by Dali Tambo.; Started his music career as a drummer, playing with various bands, including the popular 60's band The Fireflies.;
