Chad Guy Bertrand le Clos

Professional South African Swimmer


Born 12-04-1992 in Durban South Africa

Chad Le Clos is a professional South African swimmer and 2012 Olympic Gold Medallist. He won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the Men's 200m Butterfly race and in December 2010 he won the Men's 200m butterfly final at the FINA Short Course Swimming World Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In 2011, he won the overall Swimming World Cup title when he secured his 23rd gold medal on the final day of the series. Le Clos qualified to represent South Africa in the 2012 Olympics in London, where he won a gold medal swimming against Olympic champion Michael Phelps.
