I am very grateful to have gained so many experiences, learned so many lessons and to have met so many influential leaders and colleagues over the years. I have personally grown on so many levels, more than I could have anticipated. It has been a fantastic journey thus far and I cannot wait to see what my future holds and what exciting journeys lay ahead.
Not to ignore my earlier work experiences from my first jobs but I will start my journey with MTN SP. I worked with MTN SP for a period of 12 years. I held multiple portfolio's which included training, marketing, events co-ordination, reporting, customer liaison. I won multiple awards whilst at MTN.
MTN was an instrumental start, I would go as far as to say, helping me grow into the person I am today. One of the areas I believe I add value is in my organisational and good planning skills. I am innovative and certainly am someone who is always eager to learn new skills. I am an attentive listener and have received feedback from colleagues and customers that I communicate effectively, affectionately known as ‘the communication hub’.
I consider myself honest, it is certainly a value very important to me and am aware of how important it is within organisations, two other values I bring are that of being reliable and trustworthy.
I have attended courses over the years on dealing with various personality types which has been instrumental in building relationships. It has increased my awareness towards various personality styles and how to approach different situations you may be faced with. This has not only become a life skill for me but a ‘way of life’.
Procrastination is not a word I hold dear, I do believe in finishing projects ahead of schedule where possible.
Change is something I have learned to embrace and prefer, it creates more opportunities and development. I enjoy challenges because they help me to apply my mind in anything I do. Doing things well and correctly is what keeps me going.
