2013 - 2014

Brought into Cell C to assist with various areas of need in finance. Built a fully integrated business plan / model to identify among other things the stock and cash flow needs from a franchisee and franchisor perspective. Identified various areas where cash leakage was taking place and implemented solutions to circumvent it happening in future.


Financial Manager Accounts payable and Outsourcing | Edcon
2010 - 2014

I was responsible for the overall Accounts payable function of the Edcon Group. Managed the outsourced relationship between Edcon and the Accenture team comprising of over 70 heads.
Built relationships within the Edcon Group to significantly increase the presence of the accounts payable function across the organisation. Took over other income for the Edcon group. Identified and implemented initiatives across both areas that improved the productivity of work processes and developed monitoring system to measure the benefits thereof. Reported on a monthly basis to executive management as well as the respective divisions, identifying any possible risk areas.

2008 - 2010

One of the three executive managers to successfully complete the management buy-out of Spree by Liquorish/ Telesure to become a minority shareholder of the new entity. Actively involved in all high level strategic decisions. Developed new customer relationships and oversaw key customer accounts. Created and implemented all new systems and controls related to the operational and financial arms of the business. Created active platforms for communication between all Southern African regions to significantly reduce the group reporting timeline. Co-ordinated regular Southern African group meetings to ‘build’ relationships between group regions and head office.
