Deon Meyer

South African Novelist


Deon Meyer is a South Africa novelist. He is known for his popular Afrikaans novels, including 'Feniks' (Dead before Dying) and 13 Uur (Thirteen Hours). After studying, Meyer worked as a journalist at Die Volksblad, at the public relations office of the University of the Free State, and as an advertising copy writer at Sanlam. Later he started his own business specialising in the creation and management of virtual communities on the internet. He is now a full time writer.
