Essop Pahad is the Former Minister in the Presidency of Republic of South Africa from 1999 to 2008. He launched a new intellectual monthly journal in South Africa in 2009, called The Thinker and with contributions by leading writers from India. He was on the Board of Directors for the Fifa 2010 World Cup LOC.
