Job Description

Brief Description:
This is a newly created role, which requires someone with a strong grasp of current digital marketing tools and strategies and is be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.  The digital marketing manager will work with the marketing team, and other internal stakeholders (such as developers), and external agencies to launch campaigns on time and on budget.  My client is based in the Northern Suburbs of the Western Cape and is a division that forms part of an international group with offices in Australia, the United Kingdom and Mauritius. 

Brief Key Performance Areas

Campaign Strategy

  • Support the brand and product campaign plans with appropriate levels of digital integration.
  • Together with the Brand Equity Manager look at leveraging customer insights to unlock growth strategies using digital platforms.
  • Propose innovative digital campaigns & ideas to leverage our assets, contacts & systems.
  • To be a champion of digital marketing and operationalise campaign plans into our key account partners at the appropriate level.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).

Marketing Operations

  • Ensure internal stakeholders (senior managers, executive team, sales / DM team) have sufficient line of sight of digital campaign plans.
  • Workshop & collaborate with DM campaign manager and Brand Campaign to provide scale where appropriate to sales and brand initiative.
  • To input into media planning process by providing sight of campaign plans timeously and seeking our best digital media solutions with internal and external media stakeholders.
  • Help to co-ordinate the necessary internal and external stakeholder sign off for Digital Marketing campaign work, on time.
  • Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display (paid and organic) advertising campaigns.
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence.
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience throughout the relevant platforms.
  • Refine our Instrument conversion points and further optimize user funnels.
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
