Job Description

Reporting to the Managing Director this position will have oversight of the sales and operational demands of the company.
Managing an International Sales team covering the following sectors:
•             Retail (Supplying retail stores and overseeing a retail store)
•             USA office (Retail and Safari)
•             Europe Office (Retail and Safari)
•             Two independent Agents (Luxury Safari tents and Lodges)
•             Weatherhaven Global enquiries
•             Sales team at the factory
•             Mining Manager/ Military Manager and other sales staff
 
Commercial/ Sales Strategy:
•             Develop and implement rolling business and growth strategies for the company ensuring achievement of the Company's growth.
•             Ensure that all pricing and tenders are based on design, implementation and construction, and in line with country requirements.
•             Managing the process from receiving an enquiry, design phase, costing phase, quotations, presentations and closing the sale.
•             Oversee that the commercial team takes all client requirements into consideration in turnkey project costings including, but not limited to the following: supply of all electrical, sewerage, drawings, local approvals, design, transport, clearing duties, local and other labour etc.
•             Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution.
•             Execute transformational projects/ initiatives that become the drivers of strategy.

Operational Leadership:
•             In collaboration with the international sales team, oversee the allocation and prioritization of corporate resources and assets to achieve the strategic goals.
•             Once the order is received responsible for the interaction with the project management team in rolling out the project.
•             Effective monitoring and managing of operational teams’ performance to ensure profitability and performance that yields set revenue targets.
•             Identify and manage revenue growth opportunities and future expansion plans.
•             Oversee the management and control of costs, delivering on significant cost efficiencies.
•             Managing the invoicing phase.
•             Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external.
•             Ensuring service excellence that brings about confidence in the company.
•             Ensure effective risk management to manage perception of stakeholders.

People Management:
•             Lead the international sales team by providing clarity of vision; prioritizing resources; facilitating alignment of team; inspiring commitment and enabling development opportunities.
•             Ensure all direct reports’ objectives drive service delivery as well as facilitate the development and improvement of individuals and their performance based on the agreed Key Performance Areas.
•             Coach and mentor team and ensure that training requirements are addressed.

Stakeholder Relations:
•             Develop and leverage partnerships and networks to maximise the achievement of business goals.
•             Manage and cultivate high level relationships with key stakeholders.
