Job Description

General tasks:

Providing and interpreting financial information;

Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends;

Analysing change and advising accordingly;

Researching and reporting on factors influencing business perform

Analysing sales figures and market trends;

Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk;

Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities;

Managing a company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;

Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out;

Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as the Inland Revenue;

Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines;

Managing budgets;

Arranging sources of finance for a company's debt facilities;

Supervising staff;

Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.



To manage the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports on results achieved for use by members and management, to highlight deviations from plan/budget and standards, and recommend corrective action.

To ascertain that all approvals are obtained prior to making payments by ensuring that the prescribed authorization procedures have been followed and that maximum use is made of negotiated trading & credit terms in order to effectively manage/maximize cash flow.

To ensure timely collection of accounts receivable to optimize working capital

To compile and produce annual and future financial plans, Annual Budgets, and Quarterly forecasts in conjunction with the Marketing Manager & CEO.

To maintain accurate records of fixed assets, liabilities and inventories, and ensure that the company holds adequate insurance cover in order to minimize the loss risk. Manage the Insurance Portfolio and negotiate with insurers when necessary.

To prepare statutory accounts to meet internal and external auditing requirements. Manage the interface with external auditors.

Manage, implement and control internal auditing recommendations

Providing a framework in which to identify and mitigate risks through appropriate strategies, policies and procedures

Develop & implement reporting processes to the benefit of the company.


Information Systems:

Maintain a supervisory role for Information systems of the company to ensure optimum functionality and productivity of the accounting and commercial package.

Human Resources:

To manage company internal payroll system.

Ensure that all employee statutory and other payments are correctly deducted and paid over to necessary concerns.

Ensure that the Company’s local working conditions, Policies and Procedures are kept up to date.
