Job Description

Our client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven Procurement Manager to be appointed in Gauteng. To Manage and develop all procurement, supply and shipping activities for the business unit in accordance to policies, procedures,Develop and coordinate procurement strategies to support the company Strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

·         Define, develop and manage procurement Processes, procedures and systems.

·         Regular review of current processes and procedures.

·         Continuous review and consideration for the enhancement of policies and procedures.

·         Manage the compliance or non-compliance of all policies and procedures.

·         Manage all audits.

·         Implement, support and contribute towards Babcock international and Babcock Africa procurement charter.

·         Keeping up with procurement and supply development in the market place

 

·         Provide the business unit with procurement, supplier, shipping and supply chain contract management activities.

·         Develop mutual respectful relationships with suppliers.

·         Setup and manage supplier contracts.

·         Ensure suppliers expedite within quality and operational requirements

·         Identify new suppliers’ accordance to business needs as well as to meet customer requirements.

·         Liaison with internal and external stakeholders on a professional manner.

 

·         Learning and Development of staff.

·         Succession and development plan for all staff.

·         Manage the training of staff

·         Training and development on procurement processes and procedures

·         Define clear key performance indicators for staff and for procurement function.

·          Ensure that the mentorship in the department is effective to enable all personnel to develop to their full potential.

 

·         Promote and comply with highest ethical and corporate governance principles.
