Zweli is currently serving as the Head of Communications and Media Relations at Accenture South Africa.

Prior to joining Accenture, Zweli served in the South African Government as Chief Director Communications/Spokesperson at the Ministry of Police.
He was also the official Spokesperson and Advisor on communications and media issues to the Minister of Police in South Africa, Mr Nathi Mthethwa, MP.

Appointed as the first Public Relations and Executive Communications Manager at Cisco Systems, Inc in South Africa.
Appointed as the first Director of Communications & Marketing at Department of Sport and Recreation South Africa.
Appointed as the first Public Relations and Communications Manager at Proudly South African, a campaign that mobilised South Africans to buy-local services, products in support of the economic growth of the country.
Served as a Corporate Communications Specialist at Old Mutual South Africa Headquarters, in Cape Town.
Served as Assistant Director: Corporate Communications Forestry at the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry.
Zweli commenced his career as a Communications Officer at the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry, after completing his tertiary studies.
Zweli has extensive experience in Marketing, Communications, Government Liaison, Media Liaison, Stakeholder Management as well as Information Communications and Technology.
Having worked at strategic and senior levels at various multinationals and in Government, he has acquired extensive and valuable experience over the years. He has a broader understanding of the workings of Government with first-hand involvement in various high-level and strategic projects.
Zweli has developed worldwide networks and has been interviewed by various South African and international media organisations such as CNN, BBC, SABC, ENCA, Australian Broadcasting, Al Jazeera, Reuters and many more. He has travelled extensively including amongst others to USA, Australia, UK, Switzerland, Middle East where he acquired extensive experiences around marketing and communications.
He has served as part of the South African Government Organizing Committee on Communications in the successful 2010 FIFA World Cup, Africa Cup of Nations AFCON tournament, 2011 South African Local Government Elections, Annual Release of South Africa’s National Crime Statistics, BRICS Summit, International Association of Women Police Conference, and many more.
