Our client offering Advisory and Consultation Services is looking to offer a Graduate Law Student (Preferably with a Commercial Background) the opportunity to be on an internship with the company.  The post is for a Legal Intern and the successful incumbent will be exposed to various legal duties and functions.    This internship will provide the exposure of legal requirements in a work environment and in dealing with clients.  Please note that this internship is not a substitute for articles.  However is an exciting and attractive opportunity for candidates who did not get selected for articles.
The successful applicant will support the daily operation of the Legal requirements of the business and assist with regulatory matters assigned to them.
The daily functions include but not limited to:
Reviewing contracts for legal rights.
Understanding of legal proceedings.
Drafting a wide variety of contracts and responses to third party comments.
Analyzing contracts in response to business questions.
Providing contractual research information to assist in business development, litigation risk   assessment, etc.
Drafting & updating contract deal summaries.
Creating and updating legal charts, processes.
Possesses and has the ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
Familiarizing yourself with all relevant legislation and case law pertaining to matters that fall within the scope of business.     
Attending workshops, meetings and events related to the job function.
Maintaining and building strong relationships internally and externally.
Contribute to your organisation’s knowledge development.
Flexible, Deadline driven, Complete tasks
Candidate Requirements
Excellent command of English as written and spoken language Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
Good organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) Solid MS Office skills
Organized and detail-orientated
Willingness to take initiative to do whatever it takes to get the job done
Of the mind-set that no job is too big or too small
Will Ability to work under pressure, multi- task and prioritise
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
