Nickname: 'Jeznut'

Trust Director & Entertainment Consultant

Currently resides in: Western Cape, South Africa

Born in Pretoria South Africa

I am always open to new possibilities, particularly where I find a resonance with my own work ethic. I enjoy working with people and organizations who have the interest of the whole at heart and work towards the upliftment and strengthening of their industry by creating connections, rather than divisiveness which I believe limits everyone within an industry. I work towards being the change that I want to see in the world.

Current Position(s)

Trust Director | Public Benefit Organization | Africa Voices Trust
Cape Town, South Africa | May 2014 - present

Arts, Culture and Entertainment

Through my years of being involved in the music industry, the one thing I have come across repeatedly is the frustration that artists in South Africa endure on a daily basis. Having been witness to the transformative process that the Africa Voices Trust facilitates, I take up this directorship with a great sense of responsibility, excitement for the direction in which the Trust is headed, and look very much forward to creating an increasingly beneficial environment within which we can empower our program participants - enhancing their own experience. It is my hope that they will, as others have done in the past, use this invaluable wisdom, as well as a growing trust in their own abilities, to empower others. I feel an immense sense of gratitude for finally having been given the means with which to contribute to alleviating the frustration in our industry, even if just a little. And I have no doubt that the impact that this Trust has the potential to make, over time and with patience, will change the face of our music industry for the better.

The Africa Voices Trust is a South African non-profit organization created to support the career development of highly talented musicians.

The aim of The Africa Voices Trust is to offer programmes that teach through practical experiences and high-level mentorship, the very specialized skills needed to not only succeed within a studio environment, but to create the potential for employment.

The Africa Voices Trust offers educational programmes that teach, through practical experience and high-level mentorship, the skills needed to succeed in the music industry. During the programme, singers and musicians are given the opportunity to work on local and international live performance and recording projects. With the support of the entertainment industry we strive to help deserving musicians grow, master their chosen fields and become future leaders and mentors within their communities.
