Johann van der Westhuizen is Justice of the Constitutional court of South Africa, since 2004. The founding director of the University of Pretoria Centre for Human Rights from 1986 to 1998. The Centre played an important role in legal resistance and is now internationally recognized as a leading human rights institution in Africa.
