Should C&I be recognised as an engineering discipline in SA? | 2016

Internationally, control and instrumentation (C&I) is recognised as an engineering discipline. In South Africa it is not. The Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) does not have a registration category for C&I, although some discussion has recently been initiated. In our panel discussion we asked industry players to comment on these issues; including the question of what benefits ECSA registration offers. The comments made by the participants are their views and are not necessarily the views of their companies or organisations.
