Digital Media is the arm of the company that maintains all the content and new products and applications offered on a customer’s cell phone. I am involved in the following processes: The registration of a project as well as the Business processes. Project scope, project and stage schedule, project control procedures, the Business case for the project, logs (risks, issues and change), stage sign offs and the project closure report. Vodacom uses HP PPM as well as MSP to manage their project milestones as well as for resource management. Reporting on the project on a weekly basis. Minutes of meetings as well as change requests. Scheduling of meetings and workshops as required. Project Quality reports. Liaising with the product developer and product manager as well as the business owner and analytics department. Co-ordination between the Digital Media Business environment as well as the Engineering environment to ensure the smooth flow of instructions from Business to Technical. Managing all the deliverables that were originally scoped as well as any new tasks that may crop up. Assisting the Technical PM to manage the deliverables as well as people in the Engineering department to ensure all tasks are completed on time. Liaising with the Quality Assurance as well as the End to end testing teams to ensure the product is adequately tested and all bugs are fixed within fixed timelines. Handing over of the completed product to the Business in order for the product to be properly marketed.

Responsibilities included:
The Programme Management Office (PMO)of the Services Cluster Change and Integration (SCCI) department does quality checks and analyses on all the strategic streamlined workstreams at Absa, one of four strategies being carried out. My position entails analysis of reports that are submitted by project and portfolio managers. Drawing up of the bi weekly One Absa report that gets submitted to the COO of Absa. Assisting the portfolio managers with obtaining reports from the project managers and maintenance of the data on a project management system called HP PPM. All of the SCCI's projects are loaded onto the system and managed and maintained by the PMO Analysts which include myself. I assist all the project and portfolio managers with weekly, monthly and daily tasks on all the projects as well as the Prioritization and Resource Forum which runs on a monthly basis. The Prioritisation and Resource Utilisation Forum was originated by myself and I compile all the relevant documentation as well as prioritise all the projects for the portfolio managers and provide a secretariat function. I compile all the resource utilisation information in order for the resources to be distributed effectively throughout the cluster. I also compile a monthly portfolio analysis of all the projects that currently fall in the Group Services Cluster division. I analyse all the projects to ensure feasibility, to manage costs and benefits and risks and issues. I ensure that all the processes are effective and introduce new processes where applicable to maintain the smooth running of all projects. I assist all project managers with all project related documentation from project charters to business cases and close out reports. I compile an analysis on a weekly basis of project costs, timelines, suppliers and various project related information that is specifically requested by the bank.
