An Environmental Scientist who graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) who is currently practicing as a Researcher and Business Analyst for the Strategic Planning Division of the Wits University. His main interests within the environmental sciences field are global climate change, resilience and sustainability of which he is pursuing a Masters Degree in.

He is an all rounded, analytical and hardworking individual with a practical hands-on approach; and always persevere to achieve the best results. In his experience as a Researcher and Business Analyst he has managed to collect and analyse information, digest facts/ figures and quickly grasp complex technical issues. Furthermore; he has fulfilled the 8 research project management roles which are: conceptualizing, planning, scheduling, leading, organizing, motivating, implementing and controlling (in relation to all aspects of the project including the writing of project proposals, conceptual frameworks and reports). He has gained excellent negotiation and problem solving skills and can swiftly identify the root of any problem and develop effective solutions. Through the number of projects that he has been involved in it is safe to say that; he has the proven ability to manage and complete projects to the highest standard with a meticulous attention to detail and within agreed deadlines.

Ever since he began his professional career his objective has been to find himself in a challenging position that meets his competencies, capabilities, skills, education and acquire experience.

• Conduct institutional research (quantitative/qualitative) as and when commissioned by the University Executive Team; Head of Institutional Research or the Director of Strategic Planning. Create frameworks and research instruments appropriate to given specifications for the project.
• To conceptualise, coordinate, conduct and manage all assigned projects (tracer studies, surveys, benchmarking studies, impact assessment studies, environmental scanning, statistical modelling) using various appropriate methodologies that are well conceptualised and are informed by intellectual credibility, academic rigour and relevance. This includes producing research design frameworks; conducting research and producing research reports that are informed by intellectual credibility.
• Fulfil the 8 research project management roles which are: conceptualising, planning, scheduling, leading, organising, motivating, implementing and controlling (in relation to all aspects of the project including the writing of project proposals, conceptual frameworks and reports).
• To develop strategic advice and good practice pointers from research projects commissioned by the Head of the Institutional Research Unit, the Director of the Strategic Planning Division and the University Executive Management.
• To conduct and manage institutional research projects: This includes ensuring that the right resources are deployed to carry out the research effectively and efficiently. This also includes ensuring that University resources external to Strategic Planning are used appropriately
• To manage the staff as delegated by the Head of the Institutional Research Units or the Director of Strategic Planning. This includes workload management and ensuring that the unit remains effective and efficient
• To carry out research protocol development, data gathering and analysis and report writing in response to specific institutional research questions
