I am a Governance, Compliance, Risk Officer with extensive experience providing executive and board support. I assist the executive in the establishment of an effective and efficient system of governance, risk management and compliance in accordance with professional standards and applicable legislation. I also support the board and committees to discharge their fiduciary duties and governance responsibilities by providing an efficient advisory and secretariat service.

My key professional background and skills include secretariat planning and deployment informed by a practical application of corporate governance in accordance with the King Code of Governance, the Companies Act, the PFMA and the OHS Act as well as risk management frameworks such the COSO framework, the Public Sector Protocol on Governance, the ISO 31 000 standard, the IRMSA ERM Code of Practice and the Public Sector Risk Management Framework. I am skilled in financial management oversight through finance, audit and risk committees; strategy planning, monitoring and evaluation; corporate level reporting; development of policies and procedures; skills development facilitation; occupational health and safety; public finance management compliance with supply chain prescripts, treasury regulations and practice notes; and establishing records management and registry systems etc.

My key academic qualifications include a coursework MTech (Masters) and a BTech-honours degree in Business Administration from the University of South Africa as well as a National Diploma in Office Administration from the Tshwane University of Technology (RSA).

I am currently doing a dissertation of limited scope at the University of South Africa. My research investigates quality improvement practices applied as a management approach for productivity and financial performance by SMMEs operating in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa.
