Max du Preez

Documentary Filmmaker and Columnist


Born 03-03-1951

Max du Preez is a South African author, columnist and documentary filmmaker. He was the founding editor of Vrye Weekblad, an Afrikaans-language weekly and the first anti-apartheid newspaper. He won the Nat Nakasa Award for fearless reporting in 2008. From 1982 to 1988 he has been the Political Correspondent for various publications including Financial Mail, Sunday Times and Business Day.
