In the light I was asked to conceptualize and set up the portfolio function and manage the unit during the initial stages. The primary purpose was to elevate portfolio management to a strategic level, create a portfolio-minded culture and implement appropriate tools and practices. The portfolio management unit is now a strategic unit alongside the risk management unit within the Bank.
