Njabulo Ndebele is the Chancellor of the University of Johannesburg. He was the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Cape Town. Ndebele is Chair of the Southern African Regional Universities Association as well as President of the Association of African Universities. Ndebele is a member of the English Academy of South Africa.
