“Peter did an excellent job leading from the front to bring together these three areas … into an integrated well planned project … In the three years I have known Peter … I have been impressed with his dedication to any endeavour he has been involved with. Gert Rautenbach, Absa SAP CCC (Customer Contact Centre) Manager, 1 December 2006

Senior Manager | Accenture
1998 - 2007

Consulting and Project Management

Standard Bank: SAP HR (Feb 2002 – August 2003)
“The Standard Bank group embarked on a SAP HR systems implementation project, ... The project has been a tremendous success and is currently benchmarked throughout the bank as a model implementation … was the largest project of its kind undertaken in the bank, totaling R81.6 million. Peter was a member of the senior project management team and worked as Testing Manager and Payroll Implementation Manager… Peter stood out by virtue of his thoroughness, as well as conscientious planning and execution. In addition, Peter displayed an extremely well developed analytical ability. The Testing Team, lead by peter, is credited with having developed an innovative testing approach which is being copied by other bank-run projects…

…In addition to this testing responsibility, Peter took over the payroll implementation function at a critical stage of the project. The payroll was arguably the most important part of the Release 1 implementation as it affected each and every staff member. As such, it was critical to our success. Peter did a remarkable job to ‘steady the ship’ and turned what could have been a crisis, into a significant success. This he did by, in particular, leading from the front and managing his team superbly. Once again, his analytical skills played an important role in the success of the implementation. In my view Peter has the makings of a well-rounded implementation consultant (a rare find).”
