The Walter Sisulu Child and Youth Care centre is a centre for abused and abandoned children and juveniles under the age of 18 years old. Apart from my daily duties, I was involved in several programmes, events and rehabilitation work of the children and youth at the centre. I was project manager for several successful events with names like, Mr. Thabo Mbheki, Mr. And Mrs Sisulu and Old President Nelson Mandela on the guest list.

I was based in the Finance department which includes the following duties:
Supervise/manage finance department and transport department
Staff Performance management of both sections
Ensure adherence to PFMA and Treasury Regulations and departmental objectives and focus areas
Strategic planning
Budget reconciliation
Forecasting
Adherence to all policies
Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) Budget planning for three years in advance
Strategic Planning with multidisciplinary team Adjustment budgets
Facilitate budget training and reporting, management level
Chair Budget meetings, Management and Senior Management level

Not everybody can afford medical aid so we are there for the moms in public hospitals.
Mission
To ensure that each new born that is born in South Africa, gets a good start in life from the second its born.

Every mother wants to feel special and cared for when giving birth to that special bundle of joy.

Not everybody can afford medical aid so the new parents have no option but to opt for a government hospital.

What we do:
... We would like to present a full baby care bag to each new mom in a Government Hospital (cottonwool, earbuds, Blanket ect.)
We will assist them with pre and post natal advice
Teach new mothers to care for baby
Make the hospital space pretty so that mom can feel special
Take photos of new born with mom.
