I am an inspired, committed driver who thoroughly enjoys motivating others through innovative leadership and positivity. My passion for business and my personal belief in an individual’s capacity to grow and change have been the inspiration underpinning my career development.

Ricky has been involved in the Cellular industry for a life time, first as a Sales Consultant and later moving into Branch Management, Area Sales Management and then Training Management. He spent 3 years working for the one of the largest multinational telecommunications companies in Europe, specialising in data and sales management. On his return to South Africa he worked as a data specialist, consulting to various telecommunications suppliers. With this extensive experience and his natural ability to communicate and energetic style, he moved into the field of learning and development where he successfully completed his ODETDP and Diploma in Training and Development and headed up the Training Team of one the big 4 Telecommunication companies in South Africa. As a training specialist his expertise includes the development, design and delivery in all areas of GSM, Wireless Data, Key Account Management and Sales Management. Ricky has presented seminars to the Mobile Communications industry world wide, covering Mobile Data Technology, Mobile Data Device Interoperability and Mobile Content Delivery.

My duties consist of the running of the following portfolios:

External Training to Dealers, Retailers, Brokers and Franchise channels:
• Retail training interventions consisting of a curriculum of 15 training interventions across South Africa

Call Centre:
• Induction Training, New Recruit Training, Up-Skilling and Progression Training to Internal and External Call Centres across the country for a total of 14 desks. These desks are Technical, Retentions, Post-Paid 140, Advanced Solutions Support, Social Media, Written Correspondence, Trade Partner Helpdesk, Escalations Desk, Walk in Customer Care, Business to Business, Sales Fulfilment, Cell C Direct, High Value and the Exclusive Desk

Business Coaching:
• Practical implementation of the theoretical knowledge gained as described above.
• Ensuring consistency of performance for the above mentioned portfolios
• Identifying gaps through regular quality checks against pre determined criteria
• Develop and implement a training strategy based on business requirements and budget.

Manage and lead training and coaching team of 25 people
• Manage the needs analysis process and address all company training needs.
• Design & rollout of company and department conferences and team building exercises.
• Ensure training targets are achieved.
• Draw up and manage yearly training budgets.
