He is the former Managing Partner of the Transaction Advisory Service Line at EY Africa, with extensive restructuring, capital raising, project finance, mergers and acquisitions experience.

He has over 20 years experience in business turnaround, restructuring, commercial and business management in the public and private sectors. For 6 years, he served as CEO of the Turnaround Management Association of Southern Africa (a professional association for business rescue and turnaround professionals).

He is an Chartered Accountant (CA) SA and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

The Division encompassed the Liberty Corporate, Liberty Africa Insurance, Liberty Viewpoint and Liberty Health business operations across Africa. Sandile was a member of the Liberty Holdings Executive Committee and he was the Chairman of Liberty Health Holdings (Pty) Ltd and Liberty Viewpoint (Pty) Ltd, which are wholly owned subsidiaries of Liberty Holdings Ltd that provide Pan Africa health insurance cover and employee benefits consulting services, respectively. He also sat on the board of directors of Liberty Kenya Holdings Limited, Liberty Holdings Namibia (Pty) Ltd, Liberty Holdings Botswana (Pty) Ltd and Total Health Trust (Pty) Ltd in Nigeria. The Group Arrangements Customer Facing Unit (CFU), was tasked with spearheading growth into group customer segments across Africa by spearheading growth through acquisitions, new licence application market entry and distribution expansion across Africa.
