Theofanis Halamandaris is the Executive Deputy Chairman of Famous Brands Limited. His uncle was George Halamandres who created the original Milky Lane ice-cream parlours and the original steakhouse concept in South Africa. The slight difference in the surnames was due entirely to an administrative error by an immigration official.
