Dr. Tigere Chagutah has extensive professional experience in policy research, analysis and influencing in the area of financing for development, and at the nexus of development, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.

He has published several academic and policy-oriented papers on a range of sustainable development issues in the Southern African region.

Dr. Chagutah also retains core research interests in the role of communication in enabling appropriate local level governance of sustainable development and in facilitating multi-level societal responses to slow- and sudden onset environmental change.

He continues to serve the academy in various ways, including as examiner of Masters theses in communication studies and as reviewer of scientific articles for internationally accredited journals.... and when time allows, Dr. Chagutah assists students prepare their postgraduate theses for examination.
