Analyzing proposed legislation and provide briefing memoranda on areas of relevance to the organisation. Monitor the processing of such legislation through the legislative process.
Identifying and coordinating points of intervention for the Organisation at the National and
Provincial level. Assist researchers in preparing submissions on relevant legislation and
Policy issues, with particular emphasis on proposing alternative legislative drafting
Prepare popular summaries of proposed legislation, outlining its implications for workers
and the broader society.
Represent the federation as a negotiator at NEDLAC.

Experience in interpreting and applying PAIA, PEPUDA, PAJA'

Experience in investigations, drafting, research and report writing, have good presentation, negotiation skills and have a good understanding of the Parliamentary processes.

Extensive experience in interpreting, research, applying the Constitution of South Africa, have worked an NRF Sponsored Research Assistant and have worked for the South African Human Rights Commission.

Experience in interacting with different role players, while working in the Cape Town office of the Human Rights Commission, was part of the Western Cape Evictions Committee which included different role players to mention a few Department of Agriculture, Department of Land affairs, Agri Wes and Department of Housing and Trade Unions.

Experience in monitoring and evaluation as he was tasked with monitoring the functioning of Equality courts in the Western Cape while working as a Legal Researcher for the Human Rights Commission

Experience in publication and research of articles on human rights, have assisted in writing the article 'The Inevitability' of Same-Sex Marriage in South Africa's Post-Apartheid State' published in South African Journal on Human Rights volume 2,2007.

EMTHANJENI ACHIEVERS TRUST FUNDS

Chairperson and Founder, 2009 - present

The organization is being lead by alumni’s of Monwabisi High School and other people from the Emthanjeni (De Aar)community.

The organizations primary objectives are mentoring of high school pupils, assisting in the grouping and choosing of subjects, forwarding bursary information to the school and ensuring that the learners are aware of such, moral and other support in tertiary, SMME’s development and other activities that are ancillary to the objectives of the structure.

The organisation’s secondary objectives will be to revive the culture of sport, assistance in finding accommodation in tertiary, assistance in finding funding for the studies in tertiary, sponsoring career exhibition trips.

The organization will be funded through monthly contributions of R50.00 from each member and funds from donors. The initial joining fee to be a member is R200.00. The purpose of this document is to inform you what we are about and hoping that you will join us in this venture.

History is the ship carrying living memories to the future and we believe that Emthanjeni Achievers Trust Fund is a living memory that history will carry to the future.
