During the 2009 ABSA Currie Cup, Wicus established himself in a much improved Vodacom WP forward pack. Regarded as one of the best young props South Africa has produced in the last few years, his partnership with fellow front rankers Tiaan Liebenberg and Brok Harris formed the backbone for Vodacom WP’s strong run last year and he will be hoping to repeat this performance for the Vodacom Stormers in 2010.
