In demand Siya Kolisi named FNB brand ambassador

First National Bank (FNB) has appointed Springbok World Cup-winning captain Siya Kolisi as its brand ambassador.

‘Global icon’

The bank described Kolisi as “a global icon and national hero” who has supported sport development and community upliftment in South Africa.

“Siya is a selfless global icon. He is a true embodiment of nation building, unity and demonstrates the true value of help, trust, leadership and togetherness.”

FNB chief marketing officer Faye Mfikwe

Kolisi said he was “proud” to partner with FNB, saying this partnership is a continuation of a journey which began many years ago with this brand.

“Coming together and unifying a nation is of utmost importance at this time and a little bit of help can go a long way in helping others. I’m excited to be part of a brand that believes in #Realhelp and hope.”

Kolisi clocking up accolades

This is the latest in a long string of brand ambassadorships for Kolisi.

In August, he also joined Mercedes-Benz SA and Total in similar partnerships. In May, OmniProtect also snapped him up along with popular actress Amanda du Point.

He has also been a brand ambassador for Land Rover SA, Panasonic, MOT and Audi.

Kolisi has been involved in advertising and other campaigns for various brands, including Citadel SA, Adidas, RedBull and the Spotlight Initiative.

READY FOR SPORT | adidas

This year, he became the first South African ever to be the lead voice of a global Adidas campaign, narrating the “Ready for sport’ initiative.
