Kaizer Chiefs have acquired the services of former Bafana Bafana winger Dillon Sheppard who, along with academy mentor Arthur Zwane, will serve as assistant coaches ahead of the upcoming season.
Following their disappointing title chase in the recently-concluded campaign, the Soweto giants effected a clean up of their technical staff, with head coach Ernst Middendorp and his assistant Shaun Bartlett both shown the door.
Dillon Sheppard joins Kaizer Chiefs
Coming in as the new man at the helm was highly-decorated mentor Gavin Hunt, who joined the club from the now-defunct Bidvest Wits.
He has been followed to Naturena by Sheppard, after working with him as both player and assistant coach.
Zwane, who mentored Kaizer Chiefs’ development side in the reserve league, rounds up the coaching trio.

Amakhosi chase ‘new dawn’
The three men added to the dugout will be tasked with ending a lengthy trophy dought, after the club reached five years without adding to their cabinet.
Chiefs got close to ending their barren spell in the recently-concluded season, but that was not to be, as they let the league title slip from their grasp in embarrassing fashion after spending the vast majority of their campaign on top of the standings.
Club chairman Kaizer Motaung says the trio will receive all the necessary technical support in order to succeed.
“The wealth of experience among the three gentlemen is what we need to ensure we compete and build a strong team.”
