It was the All Blacks’ first ever loss to the Pumas in what was their 30th meeting.

Having lost 24-22 to the Wallabies last weekend in Brisbane, it was also the first instance of the All Blacks losing back-to-back Tests since 2011 when they lost 18-5 to the Springboks in Port Elizabeth and then 25-20 to Australia in Brisbane a week later.

With their unbeaten record against Argentina now a thing of the past, a look at the record books shows that the All Blacks still have unblemished records against 13 countries.

Their longest sequence of success is against Scotland. In 31 matches to date against the Scots, the All Blacks have won 29 with two draws.

Their other unbeaten streaks are against:

Italy (played 14, won 14)

Samoa (played 7, won 7)

Canada (played 6, won 6)

Fiji (played 5, won 5)

Japan (played 4, won 4)

USA (played 3, won 3)

Namibia (played 2, won 2)

Romania (played 2, won 2)

Tonga (played 2, won 2)

Georgia (played 1, won 1)

Pacific Islanders (played 1, won 1)

Portugal (played 1, won 1)

It’s perhaps no surprise that the All Blacks hold a winning % against every country they have played.

In their 591 Tests to date, the All Blacks have won 457, lost 113 and drawn 21 for a win percentage of 77.3%.

The men in black have scored 16 414 points in those 591 Tests – and conceded 7 867 – for an average final score of 28-13.

For the record, the All Blacks’ worst win % is against the Springboks. In their 99 Tests to date, the All Blacks have won 59, lost 36 and drawn 4 for a 59.6% win record.
