Moroka Swallows have completed the signing of Bafana Bafana defender Sfiso Hlanti, according to club chairman David Mogashoa.
The former Bidvest Wits player spent the early part of the new season training as a free agent with his new club’s Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs. This was before he was released earlier in the week to join a club of his choice.
Sfiso Hlanti joins Moroka Swallows
Less than 24 hours after Amakhosi announced his release, he has surfaced at the Dube Birds, who have just been promoted to the top-flight after half a decade in the wilderness.

Hlanti was one of the many former Bidvest Wits players who opted out of joining Tshakhuma Tsha Madzvivhandila after the Limpopo outfit purchased the Clever Boys franchise.
He reunited with former mentor, Gavin Hunt when he began training with Chiefs at the start of the new season.
However, the prospects of the 30-year-old making the move to Naturena a permanent one faded when the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld the transfer ban imposed on Amakhosi by Fifa.
On Monday, the Soweto giants announced that they would release the free agents who had started training with the club, meaning Hlanti and former teammates Brandon Peterson and Phathutshedzo Nange had to find new clubs.
Club Update:
Due to the CAS outcome we can only sign players from July 2021.
As a result, the players that were training with the team will be leaving to join teams of their choice.#Amakhosi4Life pic.twitter.com/nsZmChZQGL

Hlanti joins Swallows in time for their next clash, which will see them travel to Venda to renew rivalries against TTM, the side they defeated earn outright promotion to the Premiership.
The match takes place at Thohoyandou Stadium on Wednesday night. Kick-off at 19:30 (SAST).
