Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit Stellenbosch could find themselves in trouble after staging their first top-flight home fixture at Danie Craven Stadium, reports KickOff.

The Cape Winelands outfit hosted Moroka Swallows in their opening game of the season, a match which ended deadlocked at one-all.
In keeping with COVID-19 regulations, no spectators were allowed into the venue, but a few managed to catch a glimpse of the action from hills surrounding the stadium.
According to PSL chief operations officer Ronnie Scholls, there is a big possibility that the club will be charged for the incident.
“I will look at it then we’ll charge them,” he told KickOff. “No no no, I will have a look at the television coverage. I will sort that out. We’ll look at it. That’s nonsense [allowing fans to congregate].”

Return to Danie Craven Stadium
Stellenbosch used Idas Valley Sports Ground and Cape Town Stadium as their home grounds throughout their debut top-flight season, after Danie Craven Stadium was deemed not up to PSL standards.
After some renovations at the venue prior to the 2020/21 season, they were back at the ground where they spent most of their successful first-division campaign.
Scholls confirmed to the publication that the league will continue to use the 16 000-seater venue once spectators are allowed to attend matches again.
“Yes, we will use the stadium,” he said. “Once we have all the stadiums re-opened, Stellenbosch’s stadium will be opened.”

Stellenbosch’s next home game is against Chippa United on Sunday, 21 November.
