Pollard returned to South Africa for surgery and recuperation after suffering a knee injury while playing for Montpellier in France.
POLLARD WAS INJURED WHILE MAKING TACKLE
The 2019 Rugby World Cup-winning pivot tore an anterior cruciate ligament while attempting a tackle during Montpellier’s Top 14 match against Racing 92 and is expected to be sidelined for six to nine months.
Pollard faces a race against time to prove his fitness ahead of next year’s British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa starting in early July.
