Bloemfontein Celtic surprise by showing star player the exit door

DStv Premiership side Bloemfontein Celtic have surprised by putting Lantshene Phalane on the transfer list.

PHALANE MET WITH THE CLUB TO DISCUSS HIS FUTURE

The midfielder met with the club on Tuesday to discuss his future at Siwelele.

According to a source close to the club, Celtic have already informed the player’s representatives of their decision to show the Limpopo-born star the door.

Phunya Sele Sele CEO Khumbulani Konco confirmed that the 31-year-old has been transfer-listed.

“Yes, I can confirm that Bloemfontein Celtic has put Lantshane Phalane on the transfer list,” said Konco without delving into any reason for the decision.

“The information has already been communicated to his agent. Any team interested in his services is free to contact us.”

Phalane, now 31, had previously played for Platinum Stars, Milano United, University of Pretoria and Moroka Swallows.

BLOEMFONTEIN CELTIC NEXT PLAY ON JANUARY 2

Bloemfontein Celtic are down in 10th place in the DStv Premiership standings with eight points after seven matches.

They will resume their league commitments on Saturday, January 2 against Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

Kick-off is at 19:00.
