Former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs coach lands top African job

Ghana Premier League club Hearts of Oak have appointed former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs mentor Kosta Papic as their new head coach.

SECOND STINT AT THE CLUB FOR PAPIC

According to the GhanaWeb website, Papic will return to the club for a second spell after guiding Hearts of Oak to the league title in the 2008/09 season.

Papic coached the Buccaneers between 2004-2006 and Amakhosi in 2007.

Among the other clubs in South Africa’s top-flight that Papic has coached are Polokwane City, Chippa United and Black Leopards.

The 60-year-old Serbian takes over at Hearts of Oak two games into the current season.

His first assignment will be against league leaders Karela United in Accra on Friday, December, 4.
