Not much is known of Jwaneng Galaxy apart from the fact they are currently top of the Botswana Premier League after 20 (of 30) matches.

“We need to get the result in Botswana and use the experience we have as a team to be able to qualify ourselves for the group stages,” said Sundowns’ co-coach Rhulani Mokwena ahead of the trip.

“Of course Galaxy are a good team. We will get the footage from our analysts and our advance team that went across . Now we more focus on the game now that we are done with Arrows and try to make sure we are well prepared for the game.

“It’s going to be difficult a one. You can see even the national team how there is a resurgence with regards to what is happening in Botswana. So we have to make sure we are well prepared.

“We’ve got our work cut out for us but we know what we must do. We might not be in best space emotionally but we know what to do. We need to galvanise and unify ourselves in getting good results.”

SUNDOWNS HAVE IMPRESSED IN THE DSTV PREMIERSHIP

Sundowns have been in impressive form in the league this season and after eight matches, they find themselves top of the standings with 18 points.

The return leg against Jwaneng Galaxy is scheduled for Wednesday, January 6 at a venue and time yet to be confirmed.
