Mamelodi Sundowns vs Jwaneng Galaxy: Watch live-stream

Mamelodi Sundowns are back in continental action this afternoon when they face Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy FC in the second preliminary round of the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League.

Mamelodi Sundowns were exempted from the first qualification round due to their superior CAF club rankings. They return to the CAF Champions League after crashing out in the quarterfinal round of last season’s campaign.

Sundowns also return to the CAF Champions League without the manager who earned them much of the honour they enjoy on the continent, Pitso Mosimane. You can live-stream the action from Botswana below.

We studied them in detail – Mokwena

“We have the footage from their last CAF Champions League match against the team from Comoros where they won 4-0 at home and drew 1-1 away from home to qualify to play against us.” Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena said as quoted by Kick-Off.

“We know they last played their league match in February but they are dominant in their domestic league where they sit on top. They scored 37 goals in 20 games and since the Covid-19 their domestic league has been postponed, but after 20 games they sit number one, and convincingly with 12 wins.

“In the Champions League in previous games we looked at them and analysed them. We see the 4-4-2 structure very clearly, two lines that form the department that sit a little bit in a deep block and looking at counter-attack.”
