Proteas test negative for Covid-19, opening England ODI will go ahead on Sunday

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced the Proteas have returned negative results from the Covid-19 tests that were conducted on Friday evening ahead of the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against England.

As a result, the series opener will get underway at Boland Park in Paarl on Sunday.

The first delivery is scheduled for 10:00.

The opening clash was due to be played at Newlands on Friday, but confirmation of a positive Covid-19 test returned by an unnamed Proteas player hours before the start saw the match postponed.

The ODI in Paarl will be broadcast live on SuperSport channel 212 as well as SABC 3.
