Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt has issued a stern warning to his ‘Glamour Boys’ regarding the way the club will be run under his watch.

Kaizer Chiefs have homed some of the biggest names in South African football over the years and with that comes large egos however Gavin Hunt has signaled a strong message to his Amakhosi stars.

No space for bad boys at Kaizer Chiefs – Gavin Hunt

“This club has had too many of those players,” Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt told the media following his side’s goalless draw against Stellenbosch on Saturday.

“We don’t want those players, if I’m here they won’t be here. This club have had too many players like that so we have got to keep their feet on the ground and work hard.

“We’ve had a few players here over the years which have caused some problems and they won’t be here at Kaizer Chiefs if I’m here, that’s for sure.”

Final pass let us down – Hunt

“I thought our final ball let us down, when we got around the side that final ball. Especially in the first half we had three or four great chances. Away from home, we battled away but we could have lost it.” Gavin Hunt said.

“They had two great chances in the second half, they should have scored to be fair. Overall, I thought Kaizer Chiefs had the better opportunities.

“We played some good stuff at times. But just the final ball. All in all, it wasn’t a great performance. It was a battling performance, but we move on.”

Kaizer Chiefs next turn their attention to Baroka FC who they face on Tuesday night ahead of Saturday’s crunch DStv Premiership Soweto Derby against arch rivals Orlando Pirates.
