Pitso Mosimane boost: Al Ahly finally COVID-19 free!

Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly have been boosted by the return of Marwan Mohsen after the Egyptian striker successfully recovered from COVID-19.

The return of Mohsen now means that Pitso Mosimane has a COVID-19-free squad. Al Ahly have suffered greatly from the deadly disease over recent weeks however they now have a fully recovered squad.

Mohsen has been one of Mosimane’s surprise aces since his arrival at the club and his return will most definitely be a big boost in attack for Al Ahly.

Pitso Mosimane himself tested positive for COVID-19 while Mahmoud Kahraba, Akram Tawfik, Mohamed Hany and Amr El-Sulya all tested positive during recent weeks.

Mohsen’s recovery now means that for the meantime, Al Ahly have a clean bill of health with regards to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Al Ahly’s first team doctor Ahmed Abu Abla stated that our player Marwan Mohsen tested negative for COVID-19.” – a club statement from Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly read.

“Dr. Abu Abla said that Mohsen will abide by the precautionary measures and he will undergo a new COVID-19 test on Monday to double check on his status, as part of the medical staff’s strategy to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Mohsen will perform a recovery program after being cured of coronavirus, as he trained today at the gym aside from the team’s full training.”

Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly are in action tomorrow night when they host El Entag El Harby in a league clash. They’ll need nothing less than a big victory to maintain their lead atop the Egyptian Premier League standings with bitter rivals Zamalek lurking closely.
