After some fierce battles last season, Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United renew rivalries in the MTN 8 quarterfinals at FNB Stadium on Sunday.
The Glamour Boys beat all comers at least once on their way to a second-place finish in the league last season. However, one side they failed to overcome was the Team of Choice, coached by former Barnsley and Bafana midfielder Eric Tinkler.

In three encounters against the men from KwaZulu-Natal, the Soweto giants claimed a single point and were eliminated from the semifinal stage of the Telkom Knockout.
With a new coach in tow in the experienced Gavin Hunt, who has four league titles to his name, Chiefs will look to break a five-year lean spell which has seen them fail to to pick up any kind of silverware since winning the league in 2015.
For Maritzburg, who only just survived relegation in 2019, finishing among the top eight will be seen as a milestone which can be bettered by the team claiming its first top-flight trophy.
However, there is a formidable obstacle in front of them in the form of what is not only the most successful team in the history of the MTN 8, but what is historically the most dominant South African outfit in terms of trophies collected.
The match will kick off at 15:00.
