Orlando Pirates make huge transfer breakthrough

Orlando Pirates have confirmed the departure of three first team players. Mthokozisi Dube, Gladwin Shitolo and Justice Chabalala will all spend the 2020/21 DStv Premiership out on loan.

Mthokozisi Dube and Gladwin Shitolo will join Golden Arrows until the end of the season while Justice Chabalala will return to Bloemfontein Celtic for the remainder of the campaign.

This comes a week after the club announced the departures of eight other first team players. Orlando Pirates finished the 2019/20 campaign in third place with coach Jozef Zinnbauer now desperate to secure some silverware at the club.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club has agreed for Mthokozisi Dube and Gladwin Shitolo to join Golden Arrows on loan.” a club statement read.

“The duo will be at Abafana Bes’thende for the 2020/21 season. The club can also confirm that the club has agreed to extend Justice Chabalala’s stay at Bloemfontein Celtic for another season.”

Buccaneers freshen squad up

With 11 players exiting Orlando Pirates ahead for the 2020/2021 campaign, the Buccaneers have already confirmed five new signings in the form of Thulani Hlatshwayo, Deon Hotto and Terrence Dzvukamanja from Bidvest Wits while Collins Makgaka joined from Baroka FC and Wayde Jooste arrived from Highlands Park.

The Buccaneers are also closing in on another key transfer target in Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori from Maritzburg United while it remains to be seen whether the club can tempt Rushine De Reuck into a move to Mayfair.

“I can now confirm that we’ve allowed Orlando Pirates to begin talks with Richard Ofori. Once the deal is concluded they will make an announcement.” – Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia told Kick-Off.
