Europe’s elite renew rivalries on Tuesday, as the 2020/21 edition of the Uefa Champions League kicks off with eight fixtures scheduled for the day.

Teams from Groups E to H will kick off proceedings on the opening day, while Groups A to D will all be in action on Tuesday.

Headlining the day’s action is none other than the clash between losing finalists in the tournament’s previous edition, Paris Saint Germain, who will be on a revenge mission against Manchester United after the English giants staged a remarkable comeback in Paris in the round of 16 stage of the 2018/19 edition.

The Red Devils make a return to the competition, having missed last season’s tournament and will aim to begin their Group H campaign with victory in the French capital.

Also in action is 2012 champions Chelsea, who have a tough assignment against Spanish outfit, Sevilla.

La Liga giants Barcelona will look to put behind them the embarrassment of their last Champions League appearance as theyy come up against minnows Ferencváros from Hungary, while Lazio and Borussia Dortmund could also serve up a cracker of their own.

Two-time European champions Juventus travel to the Ukraine to meet Dynamo Kyiv in search for their first title in over two decades.

Two of Tuesday’s Uefa Champions League fixtures kick off at 18:55 (SAST), while the rest begin at 21:00.
